Principal’s Code of conduct

The Principal of a college should always be honest, fair, transparent, objective, supportive, protective and law abiding. Besides, the following traits are expected from the Principal:

  • To chalk out policy and plan to execute the vision and mission.
  • To ensure that the staff and students are aware of rules, policies and procedures lay down by the College, University and UGC and enforce them fittingly.
  • To recommend and forward communication to the authorities.
  • To execute any other qualitative and quantitative work for the welfare of the institution.
  • To listen to the students ideas and set a supportive tone.
  • To take fair actions for all the teachers, non teaching staff and students.
  • To carry with highest integrity and to exhibit outstanding strong leadership skills.
  • To make the institution as a nation building partner.
  • To redress any grievance promptly.
  • To care for the return to be paid back to the stakeholders of the college.

 

Teacher’s / Faculty member’s Code of conduct

Teaching is about inspiring and motivating students to realize, unlock and exceed their potentials. The eminent teachers of all time have devoted their life in inspiring, and empowering their students to achieve great things and be a good human being. Besides, the following traits are expected from the teachers:

  • Report to the students on time.
  • Adhere strictly to the laws and regulations of the college, university, UGC and Higher Education Department.
  • Remain on duty during college hours.
  • Respect and maintain the hierarchy in the administration.
  • Maintain dress code which is in tune with our culture and Nationality. It should to be decent and presentable.
  • Maintain honesty, transparency, integrity, fairness in all activities.
  • Exercise self discipline and restrain at all times and deal positively with students, colleagues and general public.
  • Must not divulge official secrets, mutilate, expunge, conceal, alter or forge official documents and receipts.
  • Be impartial and non discriminative against students.
  • Help, guide, encourage and assist students in their learning.
  • Avoid social networking sites for demeaning, demoralizing the management, institution and colleagues.
  • Avoid applying for unnecessary leave during classes, examinations, invigilation, paper setting, and moderation and while examining answer scripts as they are part of academics.
  • Must take up assigned work by management, Principal etc without refusal.
  • Must be willing to stay beyond college hours when the nature of work entails in the interest of the institution.

 

Code of conduct for Non teaching Staff/ Supporting staff

The non teaching staff members of any educational institution are regarded as the pillar of success of the institution. The following traits are expected from the non teaching staff:

  • Report to duty before schedule time regularly.
  • Remain on duty during college hours.
  • Adhere strictly to laws and regulations of the University, Ordinance, statute and Government orders.
  • Respect and maintain the hierarchy in the administration.
  • Maintain honesty, integrity, transparency and fairness in all activities.
  • Exercise self discipline and restrain at all times and positively with our staff, students and the general public.
  • Must not divulge official secrets, mutilate, expunge, conceal, alter or forge official documents and receipts.

 

Students code of conduct or code of conduct for students

  • Read, understand and comply with Institute's policies and take responsibilities for betterment of the society.
  • Shall abide by the Vision and Mission of the college and also support a college community that is diverse in gender, caste, creed, religion, region, nationality, educational background, talent, skill and experience.
  • Shall be in time to the institution.
  • Shall be regular and punctual to the classes and maintain more than requisite percentage of attendance.
  • Respect the teachers and staff of the college as all of them are dedicated for making them learn and build their academic careers.
  • Follow the lectures and instruction of their teachers carefully in the classroom as well as outside the classroom.
  • Maintain perfect order and strict silence inside the classroom, library, laboratory, auditorium, playground and corridors.
  • Be attentive in the class so as to meet deadlines of assignments, submission of projects, etc.
  • Abide by the rules of the library and laboratory.
  • Saving college property and assets and protect misuse of resource.
  • Participation in various activities undertaken by the college authority viz. sports, events, seminar, workshop etc.
  • Maintaining academic integrity which pursuing academic studies.
  • Avoid and protest against all types of malpractices and unfair means in examination hall.
  • Avoid using mobile phones in classroom, laboratory, library and common areas.
  • Promote sustainability and reduce the impact on environment in all actions.
