Heritage Cell

Rabindra Mahavidyalaya's History Department had formed a Heritage Cell in collaboration with a famous All India based Heritage organization INTACH.College Heritage Cell used to train the teachers ,students and interested persons  for preserving the old terracotta temple adjacent to the College.INTACH members met with teachers  and students in a seminar  at our college on 27.08.22 and provided guidelines on Heritage preservation. Five student volunteers and two teachers of the History Deptt.had attended a volunteer training programme at Singur Govt. College on 21.09.2022.Heritage rally to adjacent terracotta temple has been organized by the Heritage Cell on 20.03.23.Five teachers and forty two students from History, English and Bengali Departments has participated in the rallyForms has been provided to the volunteers tp collect informations about the temple. Teachers and students has convinced the local people for protecting their Heritage.

INTACH National Winner

Ms. Sneha Manna,HISTORY MAJOR Semester-I 2024 student become National Winner in the essay writing competition of INTACH, India's second major heritage preserving organization.INTACH authority has felicitated Sneha at their New Delhi Head Office accompanied with her mentor Professor Sujata Bandyopadhyay, H. O. D. Department of History. INTACH beared the conveyance, fooding and lodging of both of them for 9th to 11th July, 2024.
