MICROBIOLOGY LABORATORY

The Department of Microbiology of Rabindra Mahavidyalaya was established on 2nd August 2002. It is designed by three Laboratories, one Culture room. The Laboratories are well equipped by modern instruments like Phase Contrast Microscope, Colorimeter etc. which represent the infrastructure of modern science. There are important and valuable instruments like Autoclave to sterilize the moist heat, Blender for mixing, Balance for weighing purpose, colony counter to count the colonies, Hot air oven for sterilization of Dry heat, Vortex for mixing etc in the departmental Laboratory.
The culture room is designed with Laminar Air flow cabinet for bacterial culture, Bacteriological incubator and incubator with shaker for incubation of culture, UV cabinet for bacterial culture etc.
The practical classes are held under proper infrastructure that are husbanding by respected department teachers. The departmental Laboratories of Microbiology in Rabindra Mahavidyalaya are capable to carry out any type of Research works and Project works.
